Lois Darlene Ford

Lois Darlene Ford, 81-year-old resident of Gage Oklahoma, went to be with her Lord and Savior on March 7, 2022, while a patient at Northwest Texas Hospital in Amarillo, TX.  Lois was born on August 15, 1940 to Kibby (Kinder) and Cecil Lee.  Hydro, Oklahoma was listed as her place of birth, but she was actually born across from Ghost Mound which is near Eakly, OK.  She was the sixth of seven children born to Kibby and Cecil.  The family lived in numerous locations in Oklahoma and resided for a short time in California.  Lois attended schools mostly in Alfalfa and Lookeba, Oklahoma.  For a short time, she was able to attend the same one-room schoolhouse that her mother had attended much earlier. While in high school she married Bobby Farrow.  One son Darvin Dean was born to this union.  Several years later she married Luther Deason.  They had one son Louis Dean.  In 1980 Lois met Rod Ford and they were married in May 1981, and Rod’s son Stephen became her stepson.  A hard worker, Lois held several jobs during their marriage.  In 1990, Lois and Rod took square dance lessons at Gage. Both loved this hobby and in 1994 they started calling square dances.  They called and taught for several clubs including the Red Carpet Squares, Mooreland Rebels, Enid Levis n Lace, Enid Singles and Doubles, Perryton Promenaders and Alva Twisters.  Lois and Rod called with Don and Bonnie Main at Red River, NM for several years and also called at South Fork, CO for three years.   Lois was also an amateur radio operator whose call was N5JGQ.  For many years the Fords served as storm spotters for the Great Plains Amateur Radio Club.  Lois accepted our Lord Jesus at an early age.  Together with her husband they attended the First Christian Church of Gage for many years. Lois was preceded in death by her parents Kibby and Cecil, son Louis and five of her siblings: Hazel Lee, S.T. Lee, Ralph Lee, Leon Lee and Jack Lee. Lois is survived by her husband Rod, sisters Doris Lee, and Sherry Kline-Rowe, son Darvin Farrow and companion Sherry and stepson Stephen Ford and wife Tiffani; grandchildren Bobby Joe Farrow, Clarissa Farrow, Tosha Louann Deason, Bobby Bohnsack, Shaina Ford, Taylor Ford, Katharina Ford, and Alex Ford; great grandchildren Jackie Renee Farrow, Bradley Davidson, Morgan Broom and Francesa Annette (Frankie) Ford.
