Notice is hereby given that Mickey Wayne Spoon, Personal Representative of the Estate of Iva N. Spoon deceased, has rendered, filed and presented for final settlement a Final Account of the Administration of the Estate, Petition for Distribution of the Estate and for Final Discharge of the Personal Representative and that the hearing on the same has been fixed by the Judge of said Court for the 22nd day of May, 2026, at 10:00 a.m. o’clock a.m. in the Courtroom of the Court in the Courthouse at Arnett, Ellis County, Oklahoma, and all persons interested in the Estate are notified then and there to appear and show cause, if any they have, why the accounting should not be settled and allowed, the heirs of the deceased determined, the Estate distributed and your Personal Representative discharged.

Notice is hereby given that Dustin Lee Appel and Harlan Cody Appel, Co-Personal Representatives of the Estate of Harlen Lee Appel and Leetta Zelda Appel, deceased, has filed in this court a final account of the administration of the estate and a petition for an order allowing final account, determination of heirs, distribution of the estate and for final discharge of the Co-Personal Representatives, and that the hearing of the same has been fixed by the judge of this court for 1:30 o’clock p.m., on the 20th day of May, 2026, at the courtroom of the District Court in the County Courthouse at Arnett, Oklahoma.
All persons interested in the estate are notified then and there to appear and show cause, if any they have, why the account should not be settled and allowed, the heirs of Harlan Lee Appel and Leetta Zelda Appel, deceased, determined, the estate distributed to the persons entitled thereto, and the Co-Personal Representatives discharged.

Job Opening
The Ellis County Assessor is now taking applications for a full-time Field Appraiser position. Job requires both office and field work. Applicants need some computer experience, should be able to handle working primarily out in the field and will need to have good etiquette while working with the public/taxpayers. Interested parties should bring their application/resume to the Ellis County Assessor’s office in the Courthouse in Arnett, Oklahoma by May 15, 2026.
There are seven (7) accreditation courses with an exam after each course required to be completed within the first two (2) years of employment. Each course is three to five days long, requiring overnight stays at the classroom locations in Norman or Tulsa. Expenses paid by the county.
