NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN to all persons interested in the Estate of Iva Ann Barber, deceased, that on the 10th day of June, 2026, the Petitioners, Sue Lynn Hornbaker and Clifford Barber, produced and filed in the District Court of Ellis County, State of Oklahoma, instruments in writing purporting to be the Last Will and Testament of Alvin Henry Barber, deceased, and the Last Will and Testament of Iva Ann Barber, deceased, and also filed in said Court their Petition praying for the probate of said Wills, and asking that Letters Testamentary issue thereon to Sue Lynn Hornbaker and Clifford Barber, who are named in the Wills as Co-Personal Representatives, for a judicial determination of the heirs, devisees, and legatees of the Decedent, and for a waiver of the Inventory and Appraisal of the assets of the Estate.
PURSUANT TO AN ORDER OF SAID COURT, NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that Monday, the 6th day of July, 2026, at the hour of 10 o’clock a.m. has been appointed as the time for hearing said petition in the Courtroom of said Court in the Courthouse at Arnett, Oklahoma, in said County of Ellis, when and where all persons interested may appear and contest the same as provided by law.

The board of Ellis County Commissioners met in regular session on the above date at 9:00 a.m. at the Ellis County Courthouse in Arnett, Oklahoma. Agenda posted at 9:00 a.m. on May 29, 2026. Chairman, Blake Suthers, called meeting to order. Roll Call: Blake Suthers, Chad Petree, Cole File, and County Clerk Lynn Smith, were all in attendance. Absent: None. Public: Shane Booth, Sally Wayland, Christi Pshigoda, and Sally Wayland. Flag Salute. Petree moved to approve and sign minutes from the May 26, 2026 regular meeting, seconded by file, voting aye, Suthers, Petree, and File. Comments and Concerns from the Public: None. Petree moved to approve and sign Quote, End User License Agreement, and Hardware Return Policy from Tracker Products LLC, for the Sheriff’s Office for the Fiscal Year 2026-2027, seconded by Suthers, voting aye, Suthers, Petree, and File. The Board met with County Officers for their Quarterly meeting to discuss the upcoming Estimate of Needs for the Fiscal Year 2026-2027. County Clerk asked Officers to have their Estimate of Needs turned in to her by June, 18, 2026 so she can put them on the Agendas for the Commissioners and Excise Boards. Suthers asked Officers if they had any fraud concerns or issues that needed to be addressed at this time. No Officer had any concerns or issues at this time. New Business: None. There being no further business to come before the board, Petree moved to adjourn, seconded by File, voting aye, Suthers, Petree, and File.
