Brandon Levi Range

Brandon Levi Range passed from this life on February 14, 2022 in Pampa, Texas at the age of 40. Brandon was born on January 16, 1982 at Shattuck, Oklahoma to Mark Levi and Lois Ann (Crandall) Range. Brandon grew up in Higgins, Texas, where he attended school. Brandon was involved in many activities at school – in Junior high he was interested in football and basketball, and in high school he was involved in vocational agriculture and showed pigs. Brandon graduated with the Class of 2000 – the first of the Millennium. Following high school, Brandon followed in his dad’s footsteps and began working and learning the roofing trade at Range Brothers Roofing. On February 4, 2003, Brandon married the love of his life, Patricia Ann Birkett, in Lipscomb County. This union was blessed with three children, sons Clayton and Casey, and daughter Brittany. Brandon and family lived in Higgins, moving briefly to Arnett, Oklahoma, but Brandon couldn’t stay away from Higgins, as he would move back and spend the rest of his life there. Brandon continued to work with his dad for a time but would go on to join the oilfield. He would do several kinds of jobs while working in the oilfield. In his later years though, Brandon returned to Range Brothers, and would eventually become a co-owner of the business with his dad. When he had the opportunity to, Brandon would shadow his Grandpa Crandall on water well, often running the smeal for him. Brandon never met a stranger and got along with everyone. He was always willing to help others at any time and at any place without being asked. He was very reliable, helpful and dedicated to the care of others, doing all that he could. Brandon had a love for the Higgins community. He served on the Higgins Fire Department for 22 years. He assisted with many Will Rogers Days festivities. He served on the Higgins School Board, where he helped with many improvements during the time he served. Brandon was a member of the city council, and was elected as the city mayor, an office that he filled until his death. In his spare time, Brandon loved spending time with his family. He enjoyed camping, boating, ATV riding, and fishing- especially the all guys striper trips. He lived life to the fullest and was always on the moving, doing whatever needed to be done. Brandon was a wonderful brother, son, husband, and father. He was the grandpa to a granddaughter he loved so much, he nicknamed her “Munch.” She was very special to him, and he was proud to be her “Pop Pop.” Brandon is preceded in death by his grandma, Armada Ann (Ator) Crandall; uncle Jerry Lane Crandall; and grandparents Raymond Lyttle, SR. and Virginia Alice Range. Brandon is survived by his wife Patricia Ann Range; son Clayton Lane Range; daughter Brittany Michelle Cano and partner Stetson Immel; son Casey Birkett and wife Cheyenne and granddaughter Cassondra; parents Mark Levi and Lois Ann Range; brother, Torrance Lane Range; Grandpa Elmer Lane Crandall; parents-in-law Mike and Joanne Birkett; brother-in-law Cory Lee Birkett; brother-in-law Cody Glenn Birkett and wife Jessica; and niece Charlotte Birkett. He is loved and missed also by numerous aunts, uncles, cousins, and friends. Brandon leaves a legacy that no one can fill, and many things for his family to always be proud of. He will never be forgotten.
